[Feasibility Study for Thu Duc - Nhon Trach Road and Bridge Project, Vietnam] 2007.03.29 ~ 2007.09.28 / Kumho Engineering & Construction
The Thu Duc - Nhon Trach Road and Bridge Project is located in the 9th District of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province. It will form a part of the 3rd Ring Road for HCMC, and crosses the Dong Nai River.
The project route has a length of 17.6 km, width of 27.5 m (4 lanes in each direction), and design speed of 100 km/h. Main structures included the 11 bridges with a total length of 3,667 m. Nhon Trach Grand Bridge, crossing the Dong Nai River, has a length of 2,022 m.
In addition, container ships and other large ships use the Dong Nai River. This mean that the bridge type and construction method had to consider clearance height and span lengths. FCM construction method was chosen for its high constructability, economicality, and visual symbolism.
