[Research for Establishment of Metropolitan Traffic Implementation Plan (Daegu)]

The rapid growth of Daegu City has led to the increasing congestion on the roads connecting the city with the surrounding areas. For this reason, the Korean government has taken active measures to solve these issues by the establishment of the Metropolitan Traffic Implementation Plan for Daegu City.
The goal was to establish an implementation plan for the upcoming 5 years, as is indicated in relation to investment projects in the Metropolitan Traffic Master Plan which considers the changing circumstance for the next 20 years.
The tasks included exploration of particular characteristics of the main traffic, analysis of the condition and problems of the metropolitan traffic system, preparation of traffic facility expansion measures, constructing a traffic system center on public transportation, improvement of the arterial road network in the metropolitan, and establishment of an implementation plan for improved efficiency of the metropolitan traffic facilities.
