Pre-Feasibility Study for Gwangju Urban Railway Line No. 2

This project aims to respond to the rapidly rising traffic demand in Gwangju Metropolitan City, to construct a long-term urban traffic system, to provide an ecological arterial public transportation with a light rail service, and to improve the operation efficiency of the Gwangju Subway Line No. 1.
The proposed route has a total length of 27.4km, with 34 stations. The project implementation is divided into 3 stages. Stage 1 includes an overview of the project and analysis of the base data. Stage 2 includes economic and policy analysis. Stage 3 includes a comprehensive assessment of the project. The tasks also included establishment of a master plan for the construction of the railway line.
