Feasibility Study for Wonju - Gangneung Railway Construction

This feasibility study was part of the project to develop the Gangneung City and Seorak, Taebaek Mountain regions in the wider Gangwon Province/East Sea area, which have a dense concentration of tourism sites. The new railway will increase the proportion of freight diverted onto rail transportation, and form a part of the 21st century national rail transportation network.
Various impacts from the project were analysed. In addition, efficiency of investment and national policies were studied.
