[ Traffic Impact Assessment for Yangjae Neighborhood SHIFT New Housing Development ]

¡Ü The project consisted of an environmental, traffic and disaster impact assessment for the SHIFT long-term lease new housing development project in Yangjae Neighborhood, Seoul. The results of the assessment allowed for the identification of potential issues caused by the increased traffic volumes, and led to the establishment of appropriate traffic improvement measures to mitigate the negative effects on the surrounding traffic system.
¡Ü The project was located in an 21,774.4§³ area in section 212 of Yangjae Neighborhood, Seocho District, Seoul Metropolitan City, which will be the location of 59,891.83§³ of new public housing (2 underground floors, 44 overground), which is planned to will be provide housing 425 families.
¡Ü An important mitigation measured established as a result of the assessment was the separation of entering and exiting traffic from the project area, which will help minimize impacts on the surrounding roads. Pedestrian and vehicular safety was improved by installation of traffic bollards, and separate facilities for cyclists were also installed.
