[ Reference Study for Korea-Japan Submarine Tunnel Plan ]

In between Korea peninsula and Japanese Islands where are located in east area of EURASIA, there is Daehan strait with width of 200km. In around this strait, population is concentrated and economical activity is prosperous especially in east asia. As Korea-Japan Submarine Tunnel is passing this strait, now, various route is examined. It is planed to be used multifunctionally due to install system to transport energy¡¤Information¡¤various resources, transportation system as highspeed railway in tunnel.
  But, there are many challenges to solve when planning, construction as short of construction experience which can be applied to plan, regional development plan of each country, non clearance of natural condition like geological condition of undersea, international effect of economy, policy, law.
  However, to construct Korea-Japan Submarine Tunnel provide new way for existing way limited to air and sea for passenger and freight transportation. Korea-Japan Submarine Tunnel is expected arterial route to tie both Korea and Japan and also, to connect overall area of Asia and to be intercontinental arterial road pass through EURASIA
