Basic Desgin for Namjeong~Yeonghae Railway, Donghae Line

The region where is near east sea is backward then other region because railway connectability is weak and transport system between regions is poor.
That is why Donghae Central Line is intended to construct in order to save transport cost, early establishment of intercontinental railway network and distribute tourism demand. If Donghae central Line, Pohang~Samcheok section, is constructed, it will be connected with Yeongdong Line in northern area and Donghae southern Line in southern area. Then, not only transport efficiency is enhanced but also it will contribute to establish costal tourism belt and transport system But, length is too long and construction cost is huge. So that, we made decision to construct single track at first and doublize after 6years, grade of track is 2nd, design speed is 150km/h. In this project, section where Sambo charged on is 20.98km and Ganggu, Yeongduck, Yeonhae stations are included.
In implementation of basic design, to decide route and location of stations, survey & geological investigation, plan and design for plan and profile of route, design structures have been carried out.
