International Contest for Construction Technic for Decision of Type of Bridge connect between Yeosu~Goheung

Bridge project connect between Yeosu and Goheung is to link 10 islands, Land Connect~Island Connect Bridge, and is International Bridge Prize Contest planed by Jeonnam province in 5. 2008. 3 domestic engineering firm,Sambo, Seoyeong, DM and 3 foreign engineering firm,Obayashigumi, Shingujo, Scenary Engineering Institute had organized consortium and proposed innovated bridge type, analysis and engineering technic which link with purpose to develop of backward district and tourist attraction.
The Yeosu Expo Grand Bridge, link between Dolsan island and Hwa Island, is applied Three(3) direction cable-stayed bridge as the 1st in korea in consideration with route of Hyangilam direction, the bridge which is compounded of cable-stayed type and suspension and introduced structural and esthetic advantage is applied Gaedo Grand Bridge. And, in case of asch type, according to material applied, we designed concrete arch br., steel arch, composition arch and according to location of main body, we applied various type of arch as upper road, middle road, under road.
