[Basic and Detailed Design for Seoul Subway Line No. 9, Lot 915]

- The Seoul Subway Line No. 9 acts as the central artery between the Gangnam District and south-eastern Seoul. The route starts from Gimpo Airport, passing many central areas on its way towards the Olympic Park in south-eastern Seoul, and has a large impact on the traffic flows within the city.
- Construction of Line No. 9 was divided in two stages (25 stations with L=27.7km, and 12 stations with L=11.8km, respectively). Construction followed the two stages, with the 1st stage construction expected to be completed in 2009.
- This project section is included in the 12km of the 2nd stage, and comprises 1.77km of the route from Nonhyeon Neighborhood in the Gangnam District to Yeongdong Chagwan Apartments. The works include 2 new stations (L=330m), 1.44km of new line, and 6 track switches. The basic and detailed design was completed with consideration of the station plans, vertical shaft and ventilation shaft types, and trench excavation plans.
