[Design Proposal for Doam - Yuchi Section Provincial Road Widening and Paving]

The project aims to provide a connecting road between Gwangju - Hwasun - Jangheung, which reduce the travel distance and costs, improve efficiency of passing traffic, increase toursim, and contribute to regional development.

The project included 7 bridges (length 216.2m), 2 tunnels (Gamatajae and Unwol Tunnels). The design proposal considered the scenery along the route to provide the optimal design, and the bridge types (arch, IPC girder, RC Rahmen types) were chosen based on these criteria, as well as based on consideration of overhead clearance. In addition, tunnel construction methods were carefully chose, resulting in reduction of total construction costs.
