[Basic Design (Turnkey) for 4 Lane Widening and Paving of Yuchi - Iyang Provincial Road] 04.09.03~05.03.31/Daelim Industrial Co., Ltd.

The project aims to improve the freight transportation capacity in the southern region of the Jeollanam Province, support incomes, and provide a road network capable of sustaining future tourism activities in the Korea Straits coastal areas.

Noteworthy issues that were considered during the design stage were the occurrence of fog from the Butamjin Dam construction, and a section of 1.4km of steep inclines ending in an S-curve. Safety issues, as well as environmental and regional economic issues were take into account.

Total project length was 17.49km, with 18 bridges (1,020m), 4 tunnels (1,620m), 10 interchanges (8 grade separated, 2 at-grade), Gujin Bridge (concrete deck arch bridge) and Iyang 2nd Bridge (asymmetric composite bridge).
