The project area starts from the Bukhang Port in Mokpo, connecting the National Road No. 1 with the Mokpo IC of the Seohaean Expressway, and extends past Mokpo until it connects with the Mokpo Sinoihang Port. The road is also expected to improve transportation from Muan International Airport.

The project consists mostly of bridges, with 3.06km of the total length of 4.13km. It is expected to become a new landmark and a future tourism destination for Mokpo. The project section has a design speed of 60km/h, 2 lanes both directions, and is expected to have construction completed in 2009.
