The Jangsu - Cheongna Connecting Road links Incheon Bukhang Port, Incheon Free Economic Zone, Geomdan New Town and Seoul Ring Road, as well as Yeongdong Expressway. In addition, it will divert traffic from the Seoul Ring Road (Seoun JCT - Jangsu IC) with an efficient connection, alleviating the disorganized traffic between northwestern Incheon Metropolitan area and the Seoul Metropolitan area.

The project route connects the south-eastern and western districts of Incheon Metropolitan City. Total length is 12.0 km, with 4 lanes each direction (width 20 m), 18 bridges (total length 2,930 m), 7 tunnels (total length 3,125 m), 5 interchanges, and 2 toll plazas.
