[Detailed Design for Privately Funded Hanam - Guri Expressway]

The Hanam - Guri Expressway aims to bypass the constantly congested West Hanam - Toegyewon section of the Seoul Ring Road. Total length of the expressway is 17.25 km, and the detailed design was performed following the specifications for expressways, with 100 km/h design speed, 4 lanes each direction (width 23.4 m), 24 bridges (total length 6,725 m), 1 tunnel (375 m), 6 interchanges, 2 toll plazas, and one maintenance office.

The expressway is expected to divert traffic from, and help alleviate the congestion on the Seoul Ring Road, which forms a vital part of the metropolitan area road network. It will also contribute to inter-regional activities, balanced development, and improved national competitiveness through reduced transportation costs.
