[Construction of Park and Ride Facilities for Panggyo Station Complex]

The construction of park and ride facilities in the Panggyo Station on the Sinbundang Line aims to provide facilities for the passengers using the Panggyo Station Complex. It will increase public transportation usage, and lower traffic volumes which will help alleviate the traffic congestion in the Seoul Metropolitan area. Detailed design for this construction project by Korea Land Corporation was completed in 2007, and Doosan Construction has begun construction work on the station structures.

The park and ride facilities are integrated into the bottom floor of the structure, and have an area of 201 m by 168 m (approx. 10,900 square meters), with a capacity to hold 275 vehicles. The facilities are connected with all the exits and entrance to the station, and provide good accessibility for the disabled and senior citizens by elevators that are directly connected with the station main hall.
