[Alternative Design for Utilization Project of Gwangju Urban Linear Motor Car Test Track]

Sambo Engineering joined in the promotion of the this high-tech urban linear motor car project, which aims to promote the image of the Gwangju Metropolitan area.

The project route runs through 7 stations (Sangmu - Uncheoncho - Gwangju City Hall, Beodaeul Maeul - Kia Motors - Complex Terminal - Mudeung Sports Stadium), and has a total length of 5.5 km. Total constructions costs were approximately 250 million USD.

The route and car depot did not require right of way appropriations, enabling speedy and publicly acceptable construction of the test track. The project also promoted a environmentally sustainable form of transportation.
