[Alternative Proposal for Basic Design for Busan New Port]

The project aims to become a part of the transportation network connecting the export and import gateway of Busan New Port and the Seoul Metropolitan area, and to improve national competitiveness through reduced transportation costs. The road will improve the utilization of the Busan New Port, as well as reduce the chronic congestions on the Namgae and Jiseon Expressways by function as a Busan Ring Road.

The road connects Busan Container Terminal in Jinhae City, Gyeongsang Province with Gimhae City, and has a total length of 15.26 km. Design speed is 100 km/h, with 4 lanes each direction. Main structures include Jinhae Interchange, Daecheong Interchange, Jillye Junction, 4 toll plazas, Ungcheon Tunnel, Gulam Tunnel, Daecheong Tunnel, Jangyu 1st Tunnel, Jangyu 2nd Tunnel, Sosa 1st Bridge, Sosa 2nd Bridge, Daecheong Bridge, Jangyu Bridge, and Jillye Brige.
