To do so, the department utilizes latest computer modeling simulations to test future strategies to reduce emissions and pollutants. The department provides multi-disciplinary environmental management services ranging from environmental impact assessment, site investigations, remedial design, application of innovative remedial technologies, long term monitoring and reporting, and regulatory interface.

The department assists the water quality control board of regional and provincial governments in order for them to set statewide policy on water quality control, and to establish water quality control plan and waste discharge requirements to industrial, construction, and municipal entities.

The goal of the department is to achieve healthy air. The department provides services for government air control boards in the analysis and monitoring of emission inventories. The scope of the department's service also includes the establishment of measures to reduce air pollutant emissions from industrial facilities, commercial processes, motor vehicles, and other sources.

The department of Environmental Energy is in search of new energy sources in Non-Fossil Energy Development and Renewable Energy Development. Both types of development are environmentally friendly and expected to provide abundant energy for the next generation. Recent instability of oil price and establishment of “United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change”, the need for environmental energy is dramatically increasing. In order to meet the growing needs for such energy source, the department is providing services to develop various kinds of sources.

The department carries out landscape and aesthetic planning and design in connection with the artistic and scientific concept in order to create beautiful and practical space. The department gets involved in early stage of project in order to find a way that can minimize negative environmental impacts caused by large scale civil construction project implementation. The department contributes to the creation of ecological and pleasant environment through comprehensive involvement in the establishment of national development master plan.
