Based on the accumulated technical knowhow, the department has completed overseas engineering projects, such as the Asian Highway, and Outer Ring Road for the Regency of Bojonegoro. Recently, the department won the GSO Road and Dredging Project in the Philippines through a highly competitive bidding process. The department tries to overcome the limited domestic markets and to become competitive in the global market. Currently, the department is pursuing KOICA and EDCF projects issued by Korean government, and carrying out Public Private Partnership projects in Southeast Asia, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Canada, and the USA.

The department of project development has accumulated technical competitiveness to compete in the global engineering market for the past 15 years. With the technical alliance with Norconsult on Norwegian Method of Tunnelling in July, 1997 as the first international alliance, the company hs joined technical alliance with several global engineering partners in the world to jointly carry out complex engineering projects.
